The hotel is very nice, a pleasant surprise after touring the rest of the town during the summer. Clean and modern decor with typical hotel space and amenities. The cost of the hotel and the attached restaurant are in line with the higher cost of the area due to the logistical challenges of the region. Staff was friendly, though the poor receptionist had a fire alert ringing in her ear from an errant sensor that could not be replaced locally. The view out the east side of the building is non-scenic Barrow. Any other direction has Barrow but also bodies if water that add beauty. Alaskan art is everywhere, with a focus on the people. The elevators and the beds (in my room) all have people, watching you. The lobby display is fantastic, with a piece carved from an ancient mammoth tusk. I would not hesitate to stay again. Best hotel in Barrow. Clean, quiet. Restaurant has excellent food. You have to remember where you are and set your expectations accordingly. Diner aesthetic but the food is pretty good. The portions are pretty well sized. Its a wonderful little in. They have homemade bread for breakfast, have everything you need to be comfortable at the end of the north. Andrew took great care of us, he is a very kind guy. The room is cozy. The location is convenient for most things. Love it This restaurant was acceptable. The prices are pretty typical for Barrow. The building was definitely a lot nicer, newer, and cleaner than the other restaurants. The portion sizes were large. The level of service was sub par compared to a typical restaurant anywhere else, but standard for Barrow. Expect to be served, but not with a smile.
